A Beautiful Intimate Elopement at the Nantucket Brant Point Lighthouse | Lane and Margaret

The day started at 21 Broad Street Hotel just this past September, where Lane and Margaret were staying. Such an elegant, modern and historical hotel. It has a hip, stylish, fun, and fresh design that fits right into the charm of downtown Nantucket. I met Lane and Margaret here for a few getting ready images before we headed to the Nantucket Brant Point Lighthouse, where their beautiful intimate ceremony would take place. Margaret was absolutely stunning. She looked so beautiful in her wedding dress. She wore a beautiful birdcage-style veil, with a lovely set of pearls. I loved that she kept things classic and simple. Her hair and makeup were styled by Emily Nantucket. Emily made Margaret’s beauty glow and shine. Lane looked so handsome in his tweed wool jacket. The warm neutral colors of his jacket complimented their beautiful flowers. It was such a great choice. The colors of Margaret’s stunning bouquet and Lane’s Boutonnière worked so well. What a unique mix of light and dark flowers by Flowers on Chestnut. Once we were done with photographing some sweet moments of Lane and Margaret getting ready, we headed to the Nantucket Brant Point Lighthouse.

Lane waited at the lighthouse where he watched his beautiful bride walk down the beach path. Once she arrived at the lighthouse the intimate ceremony began. Such a lovely ceremony was given by the Justice of the Peace. There wasn’t a dry eye during this time together. Their special day couldn’t have been more beautiful, it felt like a warm summer’s day. After the ceremony was over they wanted to have pictures taken all around the Brant Point Lighthouse area. There were so many lovely moments captured. Such a happy, kind, and loving couple. I was so honored to be their photographer and capture this beautiful time in their life. A moment in their life together that they will remember and cherish for years to come.

When our time was over, we said our goodbyes. Later that evening they had planned a beautiful dinner at the Oran Mor Bistro. For dessert, they had a gorgeous cake from 45 Surfside. I just loved the beautiful detailing on their sweet little cake. What a perfect way to end their evening. Not only did they have a stunning wedding here on Nantucket but, it was also their honeymoon as well. They enjoyed a long weekend celebrating their love for each other and exploring the island.
