A Beautiful Intimate Nantucket Wedding | Lu and Max

Max and Lu’s wedding was so unbelievably beautiful and intimate. It was a wonderful summer day, and the sun was shining. The day started at the Centerboard Inn where the bride and her bridesmaids dressed for the occasion. The ceremony took place at the Jared Coffin House garden, which was the perfect venue, as the bride loves everything floral! As she walked from the Inn to the ceremony, the bride was congratulated by people as they drove by. During the ceremony, Lu and Max were surrounded by their closest friends and family. Lu’s aunt was the officiant, which made the ceremony even more special. After family portraits, Max and Lu took a ride through the town of Nantucket in an old antique car. Everyone nearby was waving and congratulating them. Along the way, they made a few stops for some beautiful portraits.

Afterward, they made their way to the groom’s parents’ home for the reception. Their home was stunning and was completely surrounded by a beautiful garden. Every angle, nook, and cranny was filled with flowers, and the tables overflowed with gorgeous arrangements. There were so many amazing details throughout the day that made their wedding authentic and true to them. Everything was so thought out from the Sankaty Lighthouse jewelry box symbolizing where Lu and Max got engaged to Max’s boutonniere featuring a small antler to show his love for hunting. There were vintage engraved linens, handmade cake toppers created to mirror their image, and a personalized tent flag highlighted with their initials, plus many more personalized details. Their guests even got to take home a custom Murray’s Nantucket reds’ cap and a bag of caramel popcorn from Delaware, the couple’s home state! Everyone had a great time visiting and playing rounds of corn hole.

Just before dinner, Lu and Max shared a dance together, before finishing the evening with dinner, drinks, cake, and dancing.

This family was an absolute pleasure to meet, and I was overjoyed to photograph their wedding! The family was so welcoming and kind, and I felt like I was part of the family. I love photographing small intimate weddings such as these, and I’m excited to share these beautiful wedding images with you!
