Taryn and Sam couldn’t have picked a more beautiful spring day to get married. I first met Taryn and her bridesmaids at The Cottages at Nantucket Boat Basin. Their cottage was the Catawba Cottage. It was so fun capturing them getting ready and them celebrating the day with a toast. I also loved the beautiful spring bouquets that her bridesmaid created. After everyone was ready, we took some photos in front of the Wharf. We then headed to Sam’s family home, where the rest of the day would unfold. Once we got there, I took just a few photos with Taryn and her bridesmaids as well as some family photos before the ceremony started. The best photos are of when Taryn’s mother saw her for the first time!

They had a beautiful ceremony in the backyard where their friend officiated the ceremony. Everything was just perfect. I loved capturing the joy of this moment. After the ceremony, we took some more family photos, and then we drove to Stones Beach before enjoying the cocktail hour. Cocktail hour was a great time. Everyone was laughing, smiling, enjoying each other’s company, rounds of cornhole, great drinks, and enjoying the live band.

It was time for the reception. The setting was so beautiful and full of spring details. They started off with their dance and a few toasts. I pulled the couple to take some photos in the driveway at sunset time before dinner started. The driveway was lined with Daffodils that their family planted for them the year prior so that they would bloom at the time of the wedding. During this time, the best part was photographing everyone enjoying their time. Smiles and laughter were all around the tent. Once the tables were cleared, the dancing began!

Taryn and Sam wanted their wedding day to be easygoing and have a great time with the ones they loved. They definitely accomplished that! These were the images that met the most to them. Capturing their wedding day was the best, and I’m one lucky lady to be the one to do so. I have known Taryn since we were little girls, so when she asked me to photograph her special day, I was so excited. I loved spending time with everyone.
