I met Molly a few years ago through her Grandmother Craig. Molly and I hadn’t talked in quite some time. At the beginning of September Molly had sent me an email stating she was getting married and that she wanted me to be her photographer! I was so over the moon excited that they wanted me to photograph their wedding. They were going to have a quick trip to Nantucket that weekend so I knew we had to do an engagement session! We decided to do the session in Sconset. I love shooting in Sconset for a few reasons. I love the small quaint cottages and their gorgeous gardens full of flowers. Also nearby is a beautiful beach with the most beautiful dunes. All this makes for an amazing backdrop for any occasion. So I knew this location during that time of year would be just perfect for them. We had such a great time!!! It was a gray evening but that didn’t stop them from glowing with happiness and made everything just pop with color. Also that evening there was virtually no one around which made their session even more special. We started with all the beautiful cottages with their stunning gardens and then finished the evening on the beach. Photographing them that evening only got me more excited to be photographing their small intimate wedding. We talked the whole time about all the amazing details and all their efforts in making their big day special and true to who they are. It was so nice to meet Molly’s Fiance Will during our session and it was even his birthday that evening!! What a great way to celebrate and to top their evening off they were going to have a BBQ to end the night.
