Ben and Laura met each other on Nantucket in 2015. They were both here for Figawi weekend and had met each other at the Rose and Crown. Figawi weekend on Nantucket, if you don’t know, is very very busy and many people will come to the island during this time. So it’s amazing that they found each other at one of the busiest bars on the island. It was love ever since! They had a beautiful proposal at the Cliff House in Maine this past May. It was the perfect place to have a proposal because they love being by the water and it’s a beautiful location that overlooks the ocean.

Since the island is where they met and they have many memories here they decided to have their engagement session on Nantucket. It was such a beautiful day for a shoot and we had the prettiest light. For their locations, they wanted a mix of town and beach to capture the full essence of Nantucket. So we started their session in town where we stopped at some of my favorite spots. We, of course, also took some photos at the Rose and Crown where they had met. We had so much fun all over town! After we were done in town we then headed to the Brant Point Lighthouse. During that time they decided to pop some champagne to celebrate their engagement. I thought that this was such a fun idea and made for some great photos. Especially when that cork went flying! Did I also mention how much I loved their outfits! Each outfit went perfectly with each location and complimented each other well. The lighting at the beach was amazing and I loved that it was a little windy. Laura’s hair and dress blowing the in the wind was gorgeous. Capturing everything from him picking her up in the air, twirling her in her beautiful dress, embracing each other on the beach, and holding each other’s hands as they walked towards the water was just perfect. Being able to capture moments like these makes me so happy. I just loved my time with Ben and Laura. They were such a joy to be around.  They were so laid back and wanted to have a great time during their session. Being able to capture this time for them was so wonderful. I hope that this sweet couple has the wedding of their dreams. I wish them a lifetime of happiness together. Cheers to the happy couple!
