The day finally arrived for Michelle and Josh’s session! They scheduled their session that evening to be at one of their favorite places on the island which was Great Point Lighthouse. They love to come to this spot to relax, fish, cook, and just enjoy themselves with their dog. I met them at the shack at Great Point Lighthouse to prepare us to get on the beach. I don’t have a car that is meant for the beach so I jumped in their truck. We had a great ride out to the lighthouse looking at the scenery and getting to know each other more. I loved that they chose to have their session here because one I had always wanted to photograph a client in this location and two it has meaning to Michelle and Josh making their session more special to them. I liked that they brought Reggie along for the session too. He was so excited to be there with his parents and looking for the best rocks. Reggie is a rock collector if you didn’t know. We had such a great time together photographing near the lighthouse and then by the water. The evening was gorgeous with beautiful clouds, pastel skies, and a great sunset. We then headed back where the couple parted off to enjoy a delicious dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.

Loved that we had a session that was natural, relaxed, and candid in a location on the island that was beautiful. Working with Michelle and Josh was so much fun. They were so easygoing! It was like we were just hanging out like friends. Being able to capture their love in their favorite place was so special. Now we just have to wait one more year before I get to capture their beautiful backyard wedding.
