I have known Stephen and Fernanda for quite some time now. Stephen had gone to Nantucket High School. The same high school that I attended. And Fernanda I had known when I worked at Bartlett’s Farm. We became close over the years working together. So, when Fernanda reached out to me and told me she was getting married and wanted me to be the photographer I was just so excited and of course, said yes. They wanted to have a larger intimate wedding but due to covid, they had decided to have an intimate ceremony at the Brant Point Lighthouse on a spring day in June.
The day had finally arrived and the forecast was showing rain all day. We kept looking at the radar and prayed that the weather would clear but, it just wasn’t clearing. That didn’t stop us though. They just decided to go for it! I loved that about them. When we all arrived at the lighthouse the rain stopped just as they started the ceremony. How amazing is that?! We were so happy about it! The day might have been wet, windy, and foggy but that didn’t matter. It made everything look so beautiful. They had a wonderful ceremony surrounded by their family in front of the lighthouse and the beach roses. After the ceremony, we then took their first pictures as husband and wife. During this time they were just glowing with happiness and made taking pictures a breeze. Seeing these two marry each other was simply the best. I’m so happy for my sweet friends and wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
