The planning all started when John’s father Joe gave me a phone call. He had told me that his son was going to propose to his girlfriend Sofia. He wanted to make sure that it was all captured and wanted it to go perfectly for them. He was just so happy for the both of them and couldn’t wait for the moment to arrive. He told me about the plan and I just loved it! The plan was for Sofia, John, and Joe to all go out to a nice dinner. But then John was actually not going to go to dinner because he wasn’t “feeling well”. He was to stay at home while Sofia and Joe still went out to dinner. Once they left, John was to head to the Brant Point Lighthouse to set everything up. When Joe and Sofia were done with dinner they were going to head to the lighthouse to sightsee and watch the sunset. When actually John was going to be there to propose to her in front of the lighthouse instead. Once I heard about the plan I couldn’t wait to capture this special moment.

I was so excited the evening finally arrived and what beautiful weather we had. I met John at the Brant Point Lighthouse where he had everything ready. We did a quick walkthrough of what was to happen so that everything went smoothly. Once we set up our spot by the lighthouse it was just moments after when Joe and Sofia arrived. They walked down the path to the lighthouse and just before the lighthouse she saw John standing there. John then got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life and she said YES. Sofia was so happy and was so surprised. After they had a moment to soak this wonderful moment in we then took some engagement photos. Photographing this sweet couple was a joy. They couldn’t stop smiling and were just so happy about what just happened. They then took a moment and popped some champagne to celebrate. Once they toasted we then finished the evening with some more photos just before sunset. It was such an honor to capture this moment for such a wonderful couple. Cheers to the happy couple!
