Tyler and Lainie got married this past year at the Whero Whero House on Nantucket. They had a beautiful intimate wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a gorgeous fall day in September. The sun was shining and it was a perfect day to get married. There were many months of anticipation for this day. The last time we had met was in May during their beautiful Engagement session at Tupancy Links. I was very excited that this day had finally arrived. I walked into the house and found Lainie getting ready. She was absolutely beautiful getting her makeup and hair done. She looked so happy! Before she got into her gorgeous dress she gifted a special note at separate times to her Mother, her Father, and her Step-Father. These were wonderful moments to capture and it was an emotional time had by all. Lainie then slipped into her dress and she had her mother and bridal party by her side. Her Mother helped with putting on her dress and the last final touch and that was a family heirloom brooch. This brooch had been passed down to each Bride on her Mother’s side of the family. I love it when my clients have meaningful details such as these. While Lainie was getting ready, Tyler was also getting ready with his Best Man and Groomsman. Lainie gifted Tyler something special during that time. It was a note and a gift. The gift was a set of cuff links for him to wear during the wedding. I thought this was so thoughtful of her. One of my other favorite details was Tyler’s wedding band. It was engraved with their wedding date and it was made of a deer antler. This was just perfect for Tyler in every way. Lainie and Tyler had so many wonderful details during their day that were true to them. Their family had special roles in making this day so special as well. Reminded me of my wedding!
They had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. Lainie’s Father walked her down the aisle where Tyler awaited to take her hand. Tyler was so happy to see his beautiful Bride and had tears of happiness when he saw her. One of their closest friends was the officiant and it made the ceremony that much more special. There were so many beautiful moments, laughter, and tears of happiness. It was a joyous ceremony!
After the ceremony, it was time for the Bride and Groom portraits. We headed to town after the family formals. They wanted to have their portraits at the wharf where they like to go fishing together. I loved that they wanted to actually fish at the docks with their wedding attire on. They even almost caught a fish! Lainie had told me she wanted me to photograph them how they really are as a couple. This was a perfect example of that and I loved every moment of it. We then headed back to the reception where they had their cocktail hour ad special dances. This was one of my favorite moments of the evening. After the dances came, a wonderful dinner followed by cake and more dancing. This wedding was truly a celebration for such a wonderful couple! Tyler and Lainie radiated happiness throughout the whole day. I was so honored to have photographed their wedding and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
