Oh my gosh! I loved photographing this sweet family at MiaComet Beach. I enjoy being able to photograph local families whenever it arises. Melissa has been wanting me to photograph her beautiful family for quite some time and was waiting for the right time. We ran into each other while at Bartlett’s Farm this summer. She had told me her sister was coming into town and that she would love to be able to capture her family while they were here. What a perfect time of year to have a family session on Nantucket. MiaComet Beach is one of her favorite beaches to go to with her sweet family. It’s a great location to have a family session because there are so many gorgeous backdrops. You have the beautiful green dunes, the ocean, and a lovely pond on the other side of the water. So much to see on this part of the island and love how quiet it can be. I can’t say enough great things about this beach and would highly recommend it. MiaComet beach is close to my heart as well. I came here often as a child and still I come to this beautiful beach. So many great memories here.

Their evening couldn’t have been better. It was warm, with virtually no wind, gorgeous surf, and a beautiful pastel sky with a killer sunset set. The best part of the evening was when everyone headed to the ocean. Once we got there the water was so warm and we just couldn’t stay out of it!!! We had a blast chasing and playing with the waves. I love when a family wants to have a fun time during their session. The true authentic moments that unravel throughout the evening are my favorite moments to capture. I had such a great time with this family and hope to someday do it all again.
